// I’m Abby //

a 26 year old lady who seeks simplicity in life, solitude in words, and strength in a consistent wi-fi signal.
Basically, I’m just trying to be a female Thoreau with a laptop.

“Go confidently in the direction your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will become simpler.” – Henry David Thoreau

I am a former high school English teacher turned world traveler and indie author. From Feb. 2012 until March 2013, I taught ESL in Seoul, South Korea with my boyfriend, Jared. While in Asia, I also walked on the Great Wall of China and accomplished my lifelong dream of visiting Japan. You can read about our other ex-pat adventures right here. Presently, I am back in Texas eating ALL the guacamole, working on my next book, and seeking out a new job in education.

I enjoy crossing more things off the life list. My favorite word is marginalia. I’m INFP. I broke my first bone in South Korea. I have seven tattoos. I like novels with dragons in them. I’m an aspiring yogi and a casual MMO player. Tea time is the best time. Picard is the best Captain. I have a German Shepherd named Sherman. I am addicted to sparkles, street fashion, and sales racks.

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” – C.S. Lewis
