Hello. My name is Abby.
This is my blog. The content contained here is in a constant state of flux as my interests and inspirations shift, but mostly it focuses on my life, my style, and things I find beautiful.
Who am I?
I’m 27. I was born and raised in Texas. After college, I spent three years teaching high school English. Eventually, I gave that up to live out my dream of moving to Asia and becoming an ESL teacher / world traveler. Presently, I live in Texas once more. I am an adjunct professor at a community college, and am pursuing my M.ED in Teacher Leadership. I blog about personal style and plan adventures in my spare time.
What’s this about travel?
From Feb. 2012 until March 2013, I taught ESL in a small town near Seoul, South Korea with my boyfriend, Jared. While in Asia, I also walked on the Great Wall of China and accomplished my lifelong dream of visiting Japan. You can read about all of our ex-pat adventures in South Korea right here.
What are “the books”?
What’s with the outfits?
Recently, I’ve decided to focus a portion of this blog on finding my personal style. Since college, my style has encountered a major evolution, but I still haven’t quite figured out what works for me. So, I want to focus on wearing clothes that necessitate courage and promote self-confidence in both the workplace and my personal life. You can click here to follow my ongoing style journey.
I enjoy crossing more things off the life list. My favorite word is marginalia. I’m INFJ. I broke my first bone in South Korea. I have seven tattoos. I like steampunk themed novels and stories with dragons in them. I’m an aspiring yogi and a casual MMO player. I paint with watercolors. Tea time is my favorite time. I really like Star Trek: Next Generation and anything on the BBC. I have a German Shepherd named Sherman. I am addicted to sparkles, bubble tea, Asian street fashion, and sales racks.
